is a native of Grand Rapids, Michigan. He is Pastor and co-founder of Greater Works Church which was established in 2007. Pastor Gates was ordained as an elder in the Church of God in Christ in 2003 and has been in ministry for over 17 years. He obtained a Bachelors of Arts in Religious Education from Calvary Theological Seminary and is a certified Pastoral Counselor with The Sarasota Academy of Christian Counselors. In addition, he is a certified recovery coach and co-owner of the Gateway Group of Asheville.
Pastor Gates is an Administrative Assistant in the NC Third Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction of the Church of God in Christ and Superintendent of the Metro/Western District under the leadership of Bishop Patrick L. Wooden, Sr.
Pastor Ronald Gates has been married to his beautiful wife, Evangelist Missionary Shelly McMillan Gates since 1998. He has two sons, Ronald, Jr. and Ryan Gates.
